What we welcome

We are interested in original, focused ideas about room layout, colour, furniture, objects and atmosphere. A strong contribution might explain why a design choice works, compare options honestly, untangle a familiar misconception or show how to approach a particular room or occasion.

A useful pitch

Tell us the working title, central idea, intended reader and the main point the piece will leave them with. Mention relevant experience or sources where they help establish the basis for the story, and flag any commercial connection. Keep the proposal specific rather than sending a broad topic or a finished promotional feature.

Before sending

We look for clear, original writing that respects different tastes and avoids unsupported promises. Do not include private information about others or claim specialist expertise you do not hold. Proposals are sent through the Contact page; sending one does not guarantee publication.
